What is an AI voice agent?

An AI voice agent is software that holds real-time phone conversations, understands intent, looks up and updates your systems mid-call, and hands off to a human when needed. Eazyware builds multilingual voice agents for English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and other Indian languages, integrated with SIP, Twilio, Exotel and WhatsApp calling.

What problem does it solve?

Call centres are expensive, slow to scale and hard to staff in regional languages. IVRs frustrate everyone. Most voice AI demos collapse on Indian accents, code-switching and background noise.

How do we approach it?

Voice agents live or die on speech quality in the languages callers actually use, so we start there: a consented sample of real calls, benchmarked per language across speech-to-text and text-to-speech engines, including the code-switching that dominates Indian conversations. No single engine wins everywhere, so the system routes per detected language. The conversation design is deliberately narrow, the handful of intents that make up most calls, with a warm hand-off for everything else. Actions during the call go through scoped wrappers over your scheduling, order or CRM system. We launch on a share of traffic at one site, listen to recordings with your team daily, and expand as the numbers justify it.

What do clients use it for?

  • Appointment booking and reminders for clinics and salons
  • Order status and delivery updates
  • Collections and payment reminders in regional languages
  • After-hours support and overflow
  • Outbound surveys and lead qualification

Is it the right fit?

Good fit when

  • Businesses with high inbound call volume
  • Brands serving multilingual Indian customers
  • Teams with telephony already in place

Probably not when

  • Complex sales conversations needing negotiation
  • Regulated advice calls without a human in the loop

What do we build?

  • Real-time voice agents with sub-second response
  • Multilingual and code-switch handling, including Hinglish and Kanglish
  • Telephony integration: SIP, Twilio, Exotel, Knowlarity, WhatsApp calling
  • Tool actions during the call: lookup, book, update CRM, send SMS
  • Warm hand-off to human agents with full context
  • Call analytics, transcripts, sentiment and QA scoring

What you get

  • Production voice agent
  • Telephony integration
  • Agent dashboard
  • Analytics
  • Escalation flows

What does good look like?

Callers get answered on the first ring in their own language, get the thing done, booking, status, payment link, and are handed to a person only when they need one. Your team hears a recording and cannot easily tell whether the caller noticed. The dashboard shows resolution per intent and language, handling time, hand-off reasons and cost per minute, and the front-line staff can fix pronunciations and phrasing themselves without an engineer.

Which pitfalls do we design around?

Voice projects fail when they trust a vendor's language claims, when they try to handle every intent, when latency creeps above a second and the conversation stops feeling natural, and when the integration to the real system is left for last. We benchmark, we scope, we budget latency per turn, and we build the integration first.

What do we measure?

Every engagement is instrumented. These are the numbers you see in the dashboard and the monthly report, not claims on a website.

  • Calls resolved without a human
  • Average handling time
  • Language-level speech accuracy
  • Cost per minute at scale

Which technologies do we use?

  • OpenAI Realtime / Deepgram / Sarvam / ElevenLabs
  • Twilio / Exotel
  • LiveKit
  • Node.js

Who does the work?

A conversational AI engineer, a telephony and real-time media engineer, and a delivery lead who sits with your front-line team during the pilot.

What do you need to bring?

Consented recordings of real calls for the language benchmark, access to your telephony provider or SIP trunk, API or staging access to the scheduling, order or CRM system the agent will act on, and front-line staff willing to listen to recordings during the pilot.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle Indian regional languages properly?

Yes. We benchmark speech-to-text and text-to-speech per language and pick the best engine for each.

Cost per minute?

Depends on engines, typically $0.05–0.15 per minute at scale. We model it in Sprint Zero.

Can it take actions?

Yes. It can look up orders, book slots and update your CRM mid-call.
