Sprint Zero

Also: AI Discovery Sprint

In one sentence

What is Sprint Zero?

Sprint Zero is our ten-working-day AI Discovery Sprint, priced at $3,250 or ₹2,00,000, that turns a vague AI ambition into a ranked use-case list, a scoped build plan and a straight answer on whether to proceed.

What Sprint Zero means

Sprint Zero is the first of our four fixed-price programs and the one we recommend most companies start with. Over ten working days we interview your stakeholders, audit your data and systems, and score candidate use cases on value, feasibility and risk. The output is a written report: a ranked use-case list, an architecture sketch for the top candidate, a risk and compliance note, and a fixed quote for the next step, whether that is a ProofRun or a Launch 6.

The price is fixed at $3,250 or ₹2,00,000 and the date is ten working days from kick-off. It is deliberately small so that the decision to run one is easy and the decision it produces is honest. If the right answer is that AI does not solve your problem, or that the data is not ready, we say so in the report.

Sprint Zero is not a sales workshop and it is not a proof of concept. It produces a decision and a scope, not working software. That is what makes the later programs fixed-price: the scope we quote is one we have already examined.

Who it really matters to

  • Founder / CEO: you get a clear go, no-go or not-yet answer for a fixed small sum before committing a larger budget.
  • CTO / Head of Engineering: the data and systems audit tells you what must be fixed before any AI build can succeed.
  • CFO: the sprint produces a quoted price for the next phase, which makes the investment case concrete.
  • Compliance officer: the risk note covers DPDP, sector rules such as RBI or HIPAA, and where data will and will not flow.

Why it exists

Sprint Zero exists because most AI projects fail before they start, when a company commits to a build based on a demo and a hunch rather than on its own data and workflows. A short, fixed-price discovery step surfaces the problems early: missing data, unclear ownership, a use case with no measurable value. The trade-off is ten days of stakeholder time and a modest fee before any software exists. We think that is a good trade against a six-week build aimed at the wrong problem, and it is what lets us quote the next phase at a fixed price.

Where it is applied

  • A SaaS company deciding which of six proposed AI features to build first, ranked by revenue and effort.
  • An NBFC assessing whether its document archive is clean enough to support automated KYC extraction.
  • A hospital group scoping a voice agent for appointment booking across languages and departments.
  • A retailer checking whether its event data can support real-time personalisation or needs a pipeline first.
  • A logistics operator evaluating exception-handling agents against its existing dispatch tooling.
  • A university mapping which legacy ERP modules to modernise first ahead of a ReCore engagement.

Frequently asked questions

What do we need to provide during Sprint Zero?

Access to the people who own the problem, read access to representative data and systems, and about two hours a week of stakeholder time for interviews and the final readout. We handle the analysis and writing.

Is the Sprint Zero fee credited against a later build?

The fee is for the discovery work itself and its report, which you own regardless of what you decide next. The report includes a fixed quote for the following phase so you can compare it directly with other options.
